At MindWorks we are committed to providing rigorous in-depth Mindfulness teaching for both individuals and organisations. Our highly trained team has over 25 years experience in this field. Together they combine extensive expertise in psychotherapy and psychological approaches with an understanding of the pressures of working in public sector organisations (particularly schools and the health sector) and in the corporate world.
Our chief interest is to help you discover the power that lies within your mind and how this can be accessed through a systematic programme of Mindfulness and Meditation training. This can help you to reduce stress, reconnect with what is important to you, achieve a healthy work/life balance, and improve your relationship with yourself and those around you. It can also help you improve your performance at work through better clarity, focus and creativity.
Erik Passig MA CPPT leads MindWorks. He is a senior mindfulness trainer who has been practicing meditation since the late 1980's and teaching Mindfulness for more than ten years (long before it became popular!). Erik has an MA in Mindfulness Based Core Process Psychotherapy from the Karuna Institute and was a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and supervisor. He is also registered as a Mindfulness teacher with the Mental Health Foundation.
Erik has led courses in mindfulness and meditation both in the UK and internationally and in various settings including at the MindWorks centre in Richmond, health centres, schools, charities, workplaces and traditional Buddhist environments. He has also worked extensively in training others to teach mindfulness, and brings humour and simplicity to his work.
Jude Cummins has 25 years of business experience working in consumer insight and consultancy. As well as spending four years as a Senior Civil Servant she has worked for Nestle and Unilever and for a number of consultancies with clients including AQA, Barclays, British Airways, the Cabinet Office and the Department for Education. Jude has recently decided to combine her understanding of consumer and organisational psychology with her personal interest in Mindfulness to re-train and bring the benefits of Mindfulness to organisations. She has a regular meditation practice herself and as well as undergoing training with MindWorks attended the 2015 Oxford Mindfulness Centre's Summer School led by Professor Mark Williams.
Peter Wooler GRIC PGCE is a senior MindWorks trainer. He has been teaching sciences and psychology for 30 years in the UK and abroad. He has travelled in the Near East, India and Nepal and has been practicing meditation for more than thirty years. Peter qualified as a Psychotherapist in 1996 (UKCP recognised qualification). He has taught meditation classes and run mindfulness workshops in a variety of organisational settings.
