Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy in Richmond
A compassionate approach to rediscovering meaning and perspective
Often when facing difficulties we get lost in our thoughts and emotions. It can be helpful to talk to a psychotherapist to find a fresh perspective in our lives, and to bring out the best in us.
Core Process Psychotherapy is a mindfulness based approach that integrates current Western psychotherapeutic approaches and Buddhist psychology. It is based on the understanding that Awareness is intrinsically healing and that this can be experienced in relationship. This approach can help you to find new confidence and a deeper sense of well-being in the present moment.
Erik Passig is currently on long sabbatical and was for many years an experienced psychotherapist and supervisor, then registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the major governing body in the UK. He also offers brief solution focussed therapy and teaches meditation courses in London.
The Core Process psychotherapeutic approach works compassionately with many issues including the following:
- Relationship difficulties
- Loss of meaning
- Seeking direction in life
- Issues around sexuality
- Wanting to lead a happier and more fulfilled life
- Spiritual crisis
- Supervision for Counsellors and Health Professionals
I particularly like working with subtle body awareness and accessing the deeper imagination to facilitate the healing process on different levels.
We begin by arranging an initial meeting to see if it feels right for us to work together. After six weeks we review the progress and make sure that you get the maximum benefit. Sessions are available on a sliding scale between sixty-four and eighty pounds per hour.
