Experience the benefits of Mindfulness Meditation for a whole day.
The day investigates ‘The Four Foundations of Mindfulness’ namely awareness of body, feelings, thoughts, and lastly all else that is present in our current experience with a wide open awareness.
We help you to develop the skill to be aware of the environment around you in a way that is not grasping or, on the other hand, vague or ill defined. We learn to allow the mind to be “not too tight and not too loose”.
We will practice sitting meditation, walking meditation and... just being in the present...
Most of the day will be spent meditating. If you are completely new to Mindfulness Meditation we recommend that you give us a call beforehand. The day is a great way to give your meditation practice a boost and refresh your skills as well as simply having the opportunity to meditate and relax with others for the day.
The day runs from 11 am to 5 pm with a break for lunch. You are welcome to bring your own food (we have a kitchen you can use) or there are number of places close by where you can buy lunch. Free tea, coffee, water and biscuits are provided. Come along in comfortable clothing and do get in touch if you have any questions.
